the german/turk who beat chisora at the weekend looked good but he's another who seems to lack power

Re: Wilder v Joshua: who would win
If Klitchko can put AJ on his arse then Wilder definitely can.

Wilder however just seems so open but then again as said below he fights people who cant threaten him. Would be amazed if he was that open against someone like AJ.

All of a sudden it is a completely different fight for him.

Would be a great one to see that is for sure.

We'd better stop this praise of TRIPLE D, or else Steven P is going to have a heart attack.

Re: Wilder v Joshua: who would win
Early days but Dubois looks very good indeed, a more 'natural' fighter than AJ. Be interesting to see his development because it's difficult to tell early onwhen they're not really fighting anyone.

AJ would just need to stick Wilder on the end of his jab for a few rounds and not get drawn into a brawl. After that you can see him stopping Wilder in the middle rounds.

What do you call a camel with 3 humps ???

Pregnant

Re: Wilder v Joshua: who would win
Yep they need to find his ideal fight weight it seems, as im not too sure they know themselves at the moment...

A real postive for me is the way is when aj has gassed, he's had the compuse to reagain his energy mid fight, get a second wind and finish the job

Aj loves a tear up, and if i was wilder , id be really trying to indulge him on that one, because its his best chance , and he has a very good chance if its that kind of fight ...

That said if he listens to rob mac , it could be an easy night for AJ , if he stays away from the machismo stuff, as Wilder by name and nature

Re: Wilder v Joshua: who would win
I think anyone that has a knockout punch and can take Joshua past 5 rounds has a chance. He is literally blowing out his arse and looks fucked past 5. Far too bulked up, looks more like a roided up bodybuilder.

Re: Wilder v Joshua: who would win
Agree with Longford.

AJ may not be Roger Federer on lateral movement but he’s good enough - his hands are fast and he has immense power. Lewis was hardly Billy Elliott.

Rarely do you see a heavyweight with great lateral movement. Tyson and Ali. Lewis maybe.

Weaknesses - AJ could be prone to gassing out if he comes under real pressure. He’s a unit and you have to wonder if he is too bulky now.

Re: Wilder v Joshua: who would win
Crassus , not picking a fight but i dont really agree with that..

"Joshua lacks lateral movement, only a matter of time before he takes a dig that he is not getting up from
Inherently flawed"

Marvin Hagler , Roberto Duran , GGG , none of them use lateral movement.

Lateral movement is in no way indicative of having a good defence , not everyone fights like sugar ray leonard

Re: Wilder v Joshua: who would win
dont think so steve.... BT sport are pushing him and anthony yarde like crazy

most people with a passing interest would have heard of him

longford 10:47 Mon Nov 6
Re: Wilder v Joshua: who would win
No im not saying that at all, im saying that if mWilder has any chance of beating joshua they better get in there quick , as joshua is only going to get better and better..

he has a slim chance of beating him at the moment, compared with no chance 3 fights down the line.

joshua is 20-0 , a novice, his potential is through the roof, and he has already achieved a hec of a lot

Wilder's fundamentals are poor , joshua is a better boxer than him, from top to bottom.

he has great one shot power and you cant take that away from him ,

Are we still making out that Dubois is this new boxer no one knows about?

Frank Warren's Canning Town boy
Dropped AJ in sparring
Has the power for sure

camel-with-3-humps 9:54 Mon Nov 6
Re: Wilder v Joshua: who would win
Wilder took a long time to beat Molina whereas AJ had him for breakfast.

Wilder will have never faced such power, but then AJ will never have faced such speed and a deadly punch.

It would be really interesting. But those who dismiss Wilder are silly - if he lands one of his big punches, he could rock AJ badly.

Eerie Descent 9:53 Mon Nov 6
Re: Wilder v Joshua: who would win
So basically, Longford, you and everyone else who counted me off for seeing Joshua for what he is ages ago are now slowly starting to see it?

He could obviously beat Wilder as he has the power, but I'll be lumping money on Wilder. Joshua has fought one good domestic fighter and got badly wobbled, and one over the hill world class fighter and got badly wobbled. The cash cow will end soon.

longford 9:52 Mon Nov 6
Re: Wilder v Joshua: who would win
Dubios has crazy power , i thought he killed the last dude he knocked out...

Very early days tho , but one to watch

AVOR 9:50 Mon Nov 6
Re: Wilder v Joshua: who would win
Keep an eye out for Daniel Dubois, the young English fellow coming through, he looks to have it all...early days but could be better than all of them. But in answer to the question...Joshua, no doubt about it.

longford 9:30 Mon Nov 6
Re: Wilder v Joshua: who would win
Wilder has a good one two that spilts the guard, but his balence and fundemantals are terrible , his power is always going to be a major threat , that makes up for his obvious flaws.

if they fought tomorrow id still back AJ to Win , but with every fight AJ has, the chance of wilder winning decreases , this is why lou di bella is trying to push the fight through asap as know one know this more than lou and Al haymon
